26th-30th July - Carousel

April Goss performed the role of Carrie Pipperidge in Imperial Productions  performance of Rodger and Hammerstein's classic. Carousel. The show included the well-known songs "(When I Marry) Mister Snow","If I Loved You", "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" and "You'll Never Walk Alone". Richard Rodgers later wrote that Carousel was his favorite of all his musicals.

April Goss portrayed the role of Clorinda in Rossini's La Cenerentola as undergraduate and postgraduate vocal students performed scenes from operatic adaptations of the classic fairytale Cinderella. Including: Massesnet's Cendrillon, Rossini's La Cenerentola and Pauline Viradot's Cendrillon.

11th December-Masterclass: Nicky Spence

Hailed by the Daily Telegraph as “a voice of real distinction”, acclaimed tenor Nicky Spence returned to share his insights with undergraduate and postgraduate vocal students.

14th November-A Night at the Opera

April Goss performed the role of Violetta in Verdi's Brindisi from La Traviata in a concert of opera classics. Including Giuseppe Verdi’s Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves, Georges Bizet’s March of the Toreadors and Johann Strauss’s Champagne Chorus. Accompanied by an eight-piece ensemble orchestra.

1st November-Postgraduate Opera Scenes

April Goss portrayed the role of Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) as part of the postgraduate vocal students  opera scenes concert. The programme included scenes from  Richard Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos and Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro.

April Goss portrayed the role of Musetta as part of the Melofonetica Veneto Opera Summer School. Various singers performed excerpts from Puccini's La bohème in Asolo.

April Goss portrayed the role of Dorinda in Henry Purcell's opera The Tempest.

The Tempest or Enchanted Land by Henry Purcell, adapted by John Dryden and William D’Avenant from Shakespeare’s comedy, The Tempest.

The Yorke Trust’s thrilling production with a period instrumental ensemble accompanied the production, led by the outstanding young violinist Conor Gricmanis. The soloists were drawn from music conservatoires and,The Yorke Trust Community Choristers.

25th April-Postgraduate Opera Scenes

April Goss portrayed the role of Woglinde (Das Rheingold) as part of the postgraduate opera scenes concert. The singers connected together into a dramatic performance with piano accompaniment. This was a fantastic opportunity for the audience to follow the development of the gifted young artists whilst enjoying the thrilling music of Verdi, Charpentier, Richard Strauss and Wagner.
